![]() ![]() Continued use of these apps may cause your IP to be blocked indefinitely. This triggers our anti-spambot measures, which are designed to stop automated systems from flooding the site with traffic. Some unofficial phone apps appear to be using GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser does.Using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary and even permanent IP blocks due to these additional requests. If you are using Maxthon or Brave as a browser, or have installed the Ghostery add-on, you should know that these programs send extra traffic to our servers for every page on the site that you browse. The most common causes of this issue are: However, if you do want to clear the save file from a GBA cart (such as your legit TP cart), you can consider getting a DS flashcard, which (alongside a DS or DS Lite) allows you to not only clear the save file in your BN5 GBA, but also allows you to backup the save files of your GBA carts.Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. It's very clear that your cart is not being recognized at all, so the issue of the cart's save file is irrelevant. If you were able to get other BN GBA games recognized (at least seeing the message when you choose New Game / Continue), then the region of those recognized BN GBA games is the same as the DTDS region.Īs for when BassCross is unlocked, the detection message when you hit New Game or Continue will also ask if you want to use BassCross (if the game has no save file or it has the Bass icon), so you can use BassCross anytime, including right from the start of the game (including the tutorial). I don't know how to check the region of the DTDS game itself (since I never owned a PAL version), but if you still have the case, you can check the cover to see if it's rated as "E" (NA) or "3+" (PAL). ![]() You can check the GBA title screen to determine its region. I have experienced this myself, and the cart will not be detected at all. the reproduction might be of the PAL version of BN5, while you're running the NA version of DTDS, or vice versa. The reproduction is of a different region than your DTDS game, e.g. Unless the reproducer deliberately modified the ROM (e.g., applying the Wii U VC patch), the reproduction is likely to be accurate. ![]() This is very unlikely, since reproducing a GBA cart is very easy and straightforward once you have the equipment, and any failures would result in the game failing to load outright (which is not your case). There are two possibilities I can think of: If you have not even seen such a message with the reproduction cart, then it's not being recognized at all, regardless of whether it has a save file or not. Whenever you insert any GBA BN cartridge of the same region, a message will appear when you press New Game or Continue to indicate the game being recognized. In your case, it is likely that the reproduction cart itself is not recognized. I have personally confirmed that having no save file unlocks BassCross. If anyone has any ideas or insights, I'd love to hear them. It'll be a while before I can get the Bass icon to see if that'll work on my current progress in the DS version. I do have a legitimate Team Protoman cart, however the save data on it is about half way through the main campaign. I also haven't been able to locate any information on when the Cross forms can be unlocked, only how they can be unlocked. I don't know if the DS game can detect if its not an official cart, or rom file on the cart. The information in the wiki page was false, and it requires the Bass icon on the GBA games for Bass Cross. I'll need to play further on the DS version, possibly unlocking the Navi customizer, before any Cross form can be acquired. The reproduction cart is not being read by Double Team as it may be able to tell it is not an official version. I played the DS version for a while, beat Blizzardman, and then tried the reproduction cart. It loads up fine and works without any issues. Luckily I found a seller that had a reproduction cart of Team Protoman without any save data on it. However, finding a copy of Battle Network 5 on the GBA that hasn't been played is a rather pricey investment. This had me curious to see if it were true. The Megaman wiki page had this to say about the Bass Cross form.Īlternatively, Bass Cross could also be obtained if the GBA version of Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel or Team ProtoMan had no save file on it (no 'Continue,' only 'New Game' option). ![]() Something had caught my eye while looking up information on the subject. I've recently acquired a copy of Battle Network 5 Double Team DS, and have been curious at trying out the GBA additions for the game. ![]()
